The ventilated façade system is an innovative building cladding method that uses mechanical anchors to fix a new skin to the external wall. Emilgroup's porcelain stoneware products, thanks to their technical and aesthetic characteristics, are suitable for use in this system and allow buildings to be clad, enhancing the architectural design.

The ventilated façade (or ventilated wall) is a perimeter cladding for the external walls of a building that involves the application, through appropriate anchoring systems, of panels that do not adhere to the structure, thus creating an air gap in which natural ventilation is generated by the chimney effect. This system leads to thermal insulation and a consequent improvement in energy efficiency. Porcelain stoneware slabs are optimal for use in ventilated façades. The large ABKSTONE ceramic slabs can be effectively used in this external cladding system. Ventilated walls in porcelain stoneware, due to their technical and aesthetic characteristics, combine mechanical requirements with a high aesthetic yield and overall add more value to buildings. Depending on the chosen anchoring system, the ABKSTONE range offers the possibility to select the slabs in the most suitable thickness.
